Each evening, the event will kick off with a Haunted Processional. Elitch Gardens will offer two haunted houses: the serial killer-themed Brutal Planet and the horror film-themed Screams. The park will also present a Cockroach Eating Challenge--a Fear Factor-type gross-out competition that will challenge guests to down a live bug and win prizes. Younger kids can get some sweets at Elitch's Trick-or-Treat Trail, and enjoy the Monster-less Matinee and Boo Gardens.

Best of all, brave souls get to sample Boulder Dash, my pick for the top woodie coaster, in the deep, dark night. Now that's scary.
